Your Dream Team

Anna Neale,

M.A

Registered Provisional Psychologist

Supporting families, couples, adults, adolescents, and children through personal challenges, growth, and change with warmth, compassion, and care.

Hi, I’m Anna. I’ve always been fascinated by human behaviour and passionate about helping others. For much of my life, I’ve been the “go-to” person for others, so working in the field of counselling feels like a natural fit. People who know me describe me as open, warm, funny, compassionate, and kind, and I bring these qualities into therapy as I support my patients.

I believe supporting our mental health is vitally important, whether that means learning to manage stress better, improving communication skills, practicing helpful self-care strategies, improving nutrition and sleep hygiene, building more effective coping skills, learning how to work with difficult people, or navigating personal challenges. I believe we all have the capacity for growth and change within us, and I am here to support you on your journey.

My Therapeutic Approach

I work from a relationship-focused, trauma-informed, and culturally sensitive lens. I have found this approach effective in helping people uncover and unpack experiences as part of their own process of change. While it may be cliché, I firmly believe that we are all interconnected in some way and that none of us exists on an island.

I take an eclectic, strength-focused approach that integrates:

  • Humanistic therapy

  • Attachment-based approaches

  • Person-centred therapy

  • Interpersonal therapy

  • Cognitive-behavioural modalities

As a naturalized Jamaican-Canadian who has lived abroad and learned other languages, I am experienced in cross-cultural issues. I am available to see patients in person or through video and online counselling.

My Areas of Focus

I work with individuals, families, adolescents and children who are navigating challenges related to emotional well-being, identity, health, and day-to-day life. My goal is to offer a supportive, culturally sensitive space for understanding, growth, and meaningful change.

Areas I support include:

  • Grief & Loss

  • Trauma

  • Couples therapy

  • Self-concept and self-esteem
