Your Dream Team
Dr. Shari DeClerico-Anderson
PsyD., RRP
Registered Psychologist
Supporting adults, older adults, young mothers, and individuals living with disabilities in finding balance, meaning, and resilience through life’s challenges.
Hi, I’m Dr. Shari. I have always been deeply interested in how our beliefs shape our behaviour, our relationships, and the meaning we give to life. I hold a doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from Capella University, a Master of Science in Psychology, and an undergraduate degree in English Literature from McMaster University. I am also a lifelong learner, and completing my graduate studies as a mature student while working full-time has shaped my understanding of how the demands of modern life can affect both mental and physical well-being.
In therapy, I listen closely to the stories people carry and the ways those stories shape how they move through the world. I hope to support you in exploring your experiences with honesty and compassion, while helping you move forward step by step toward greater balance and resilience.
My Therapeutic Approach
My work is grounded in my experience as a CBT and Gestalt therapist, vocational rehabilitation specialist, and psychological assessor. I provide both assessment and talk therapies, drawing on my training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Gestalt Therapy.
My work draws from:
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
Gestalt Therapy
Open chair method
Psychological assessment
Vocational rehabilitation
Through these approaches, my primary goal is to help patients achieve balance in their lives. I also understand, from my own experience completing graduate work as a mature student while working full-time, how finding balance in modern life can affect both mental and physical health.
My Areas of Focus
I work with adults aged 18 and older and have experience supporting a diverse range of people. This includes geriatric patients, young mothers experiencing perinatal anxiety and depression, and individuals coping with permanent disabilities.
